About Yucatán Kids
We are an international group of passionate volunteers who are dedicated to empowering children through English language education and cultural enrichment.
Established in 2015, we have grown to include over 30 volunteers from around the world, with nine board members representing Mexico and six other countries. Our work takes place at Caimede, a state-run home for at-risk children located in Mérida, Yucatán.
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and we are committed to supporting children and adolescents as they navigate their path to a brighter future.
We support the emotional and personal development of disadvantaged children in Yucatán by providing English language instruction, educational, and cultural activities.

What We Do
As adolescents transition from orphanages and into their future lives, they may have limited education and job skills, which can make it difficult for them to find employment and support themselves financially.
We provide English learning programs through cultural enrichment that open up a world of educational and career opportunities for these children. The support we provide has life-changing and enriching effects for them as they transition into their adulthood.
Children who have access to quality English language education and cultural enrichment may be more likely to succeed in school, pursue higher education, and secure good jobs.
